Again, it's in wild brush area, but the problem is, fire embers can carry 2 miles, and when the wind everywhere is raging at 40-90 miles an hour, what seems a safe area can suddenly be not so safe.
I've lived here all my life (56 years), and this is quickly becoming the worst ever. Yes, right now, it's just brush areas where you have to be stupid to live. But if these winds push it into areas that aren't brush, all the water in the world won't help. (and at night, they don't do water drops because it is too dangerous, so all you have are hand-held water, which is practically worthless with these fire storms.)
Oh, and a big ole FUCK YOU to people here wishing us dead/burnt. May karma strike those you love most. In as equally a painful way as fire.
